Bio Summary

As Vice President of IT Risk Management at UnumProvident, Chris Bursch is responsible for the company’s US division’s Information Security, Legal Systems (including Litigation support), IT Audit Support, Electronic Records Management systems, IT Change Management, and Systems Recovery.  He is also a member of several governance committees including a joint IT/Business steering committee, Information Records Management (IRM) steering committee, Customer Information Regulatory Committee (CIRC), Enterprise Risk Management Working Group, and IT Architecture Governance Board (AGB). 

Chris has over 21 years experience in systems development and IT Leadership.  This includes managing Sales and Marketing systems, Insurance Administrative systems, Corporate Support systems, and Risk Management.   He holds a BSBA in Management Information Technology from Appalachian State University.
