Summary of Presentation:

Creating a Disaster Recovery Program and Coping with a Catastrophic Loss at Your Business

We will first discuss the ins and outs of having a company come in and set up a disaster recovery program.  In that discussion we will place emphasis on the information that is needed to help setup a proper disaster recovery program.  This will lead to case studies of companies with and without recovery programs in respect to the amount of time the company was unable to continue with business operations, and impact to a firm that was unable to continue basic operating functions.

We will also discuss the impact of an event on the individual business, and what to expect.  We will look at examples of inland damage  from the Gulf Coast hurricanes of 2004 and 2005 as well as Hurricanes Hugo, Opal, Fran, and Floyd.  Furthermore, we will examine Catastrophic Loss events that do not require weather cooperation.

The presentation will conclude with a time of questions and answers.
